Unique micrometer adjustment makes this marking gauge the handiest and most accurate available. 7" (17.78cm) Steel shaft, brass body, fixed circular A2 blade hardened to 58-60 Rockwell. The blade retracts safely into a recess in the head. Tite-Mark has a 7" (17.78cm) shaft, The Tite-Mark Long has a 9" (22.86cm) shaft. Optional cutters include a pair of mortise blades for laying out mortises and a scoring blade for deep marking, slicing veneer strips and other general scoring tasks. Now, also available, a Reverse Bevel blade for gauging your work with the blade flat inward. The reverse cutter has bevel side out and flat side to the stock. Its main use is for gauging desired dimension when planing wood to thickness. It leaves a polished track, which will disapear with one final shaving. This is a very accurate signal of when to stop planing.
Extensions and Mortise Blades
One 3" (7.62cm) and one 6" (15.24cm) extension rod may be used individually or joined together to extend the reach of the Tite-Mark an extra 9" (22.86cm) by being screwed onto the blade end. In addition to the adjustable mortise blades available for the Tite-Mark, we now have four fixed-width mortise blades. Conveniently sized at 1/2" (1.27cm), 3/8" (9.52mm), 5/16" (7.93mm) and 1/4" (6.35mm)
Tite-Mark Mini
The regular Tite-Mark is built around a 5/16" (7.93mm) shaft. The new Tite-Mark Mini is built around a 1/4" (6.35mm) shaft and is 6" (15.24cm) long. Three fixed-width mortise blades are available for the Mini, sized at 5/16" (7.93mm), 1/4" (6.35mm) and 3/16" (4.76mm). The perfect gauge for smaller projects.
